Welcome to Melissa Blunck, the new director of the IU Undergraduate Research office. Melissa has served as the director of the Women in STEM LLC and brings with her extensive experience in creating successful programming for undergraduate students and a long held passion for research at IU. Congratulations Fulbright Scholars!
Indiana University was again named a top producer for Fulbright U.S. Student Program. Thanks to the National Scholarships and Awards office, IU students have a valuable resource to turn to for help in navigating this competitive application process.

Undergraduate Research Events and Opportunities 
  • Advanced Summer Research Scholarships: applications are now being accepted. Don't miss out on this unique summer funding opportunity. The deadline to apply is March 13th. 
  • Intro to Research at IU: IUUR is offering an online, 2nd eight-weeks, non-credit bearing course open to any student interested in developing introductory level skills for researchers in any discipline.
  • Undergraduate Research Month: IUUR celebrates undergraduate research and creative activity throughout the month of April. To view a full calendar of events that will be taking place across campus, check out the IUUR website in March. To have an event listed, email

IUJUR Spotlight
The IU Journal of Undergraduate Research is an annual, open-access journal that accepts submissions and publishes papers on a rolling basis throughout the year. The sooner students submit, the sooner they will be published. 

IUJUR is currently seeking submissions to publish in Volume VI of the journal.
